Lovely setup but didn't feel it was targeted just firm all over and day later feel I need a massage as have some pain

I am use to have strong DT massage's and know that it can be painful. The guy massaging me didn't do any particular DT techniques it just felt like a general massage, I could feel knots in my shoulders and for a few days afterwards it felt like it was worse in a bad way not a good way like it was getting better. My partner also felt the same. We both went for another massage to our usual masseuses 2 days latter as just didn't feel right and now after getting a proper DT massage do I feel better. I did not get the impression that the staff had proper training. The venue was clean and good atmosphere but just a shame about the treatment.

Unfortunately it didn't start well as I was left outside a locked salon for ten minutes as they were running behind. The massage itself was ok, very firm and the therapist clearly enthusiastic but it felt but a bit rough and ready and not as targeted as other deep tissue massages.
