Today I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Octavia. This was my first time at this salon and when I arrived there was a lovely calm but jolly atmosphere. I was greeted as soon as I entered and introduced to my stylist after filling out a quick client card.
Octavia sat down with me and talked to me about my hair, what I wanted her to do with it today and I felt she really listened. For the record, I have short, thick hair and often struggle to find hairdressers that will cut in a way to make it manageable and just the right length for it not to grow out in 2 weeks. After a quick consultation, she took me over to wash my hair and then proceeded to begin the cut.
She took her time to get everything right and kept reiterating what she was doing to achieve what we had talked about - she had great attention to detail and didn't rush, despite it being only a few days before Christmas which I really appreciated.
She was lovely and chatty but attentive at the same time, which was the perfect balance. Usually when I ask to cut quite close around the sides of my head, it gets left too long as stylists can sometimes be tentative with my hair but Octavia went straight in and got the perfect length, which showed how she really listened.
She dried my hair and went on to continue shaping it and making sure every aspect was right, giving me advice on how to manage my random curly patches in my fringe. After this she asked me what kind of products I used in my hair and went to get some to style my hair with - there was no hard sell here which was really nice. She used just the right amount of product and it smelled lovely.
At the end she showed me in the mirror and it was exactly the way I wanted. Yay!
Thanks Octavia for taking care of me and I hope you have a lovely Christmas. I'll be back in 2016! Overall this was a great quality and great value experience.
As ever, very friendly staff. Simple, quick trim and a blow dry for an event.

The staff member i spoke to was extremely unaccomodating and rude. I would not recommend visiting this salon.
Very efficient wax - I only had the underarm wax but the therapist was very efficient and helpful when advising on aftercare. Good location as close to the office and I would go back.
