I was very disappointed with this spa day. The write up in this spa experience was very good and on arrival the hotel had a very nice reception / restaurant/bar area. We were shown to the “spa area” and on arrival I was very disappointed. The gym area was the first thing you see with a tiny little wooden waist high wall . The gym area was extremely small and poorly equipped . The changing rooms were very dated and cramped . There was no private changing area and only had one toilet . The floors weren’t the cleanest I’ve seen. We were given towels to use but this establishment offer no robe or slipper service. We had a mini facial and hand massage as part of the package which was very good and Leigh was very good offering skin care tips but this is provide in a single room and only one person at a time can be done which is NOT stated on the original booking form, which as friends having a spa day it takes so long to get the treatments done.
We also had a lunch included from a sandwich menu in the main restaurant in the hotel which was really nice the best part of the day . There is not poolside seating area except for a chair by the hot tub. When we arrived the pool was closed for 45 minutes due to an aqua aerobics class on which I’ve never encountered before. I have to say I was very disappointed with the whole experience and feel this CANNOT be classed as a spa day . It just didn’t work and was very disjointed. As my friend and I have had a few spa days , this one is by far the worse .
