I’m Miranda. I’ve worked in Barbican/ old street as a stylist for the last 20 years. I love my job. And I love my clients. Gender is not important and I will charge you for my time, not your gender. I believe any client is a person rather than a client. You are who you want to be, your hair is important, and I will take time with every single one of you, to figure out your particular hair. I love any hair, whether it’s curls, blondes, dark, short or long hair. And I’ll mix you a great G&T.

Minimal Waves is the brainchild of renowned hair stylist Miranda Alund. Her desire to create the ultimate hair salon with the perfect team has been twenty years in the making.

The result is a beautifully crafted space that’s intimate, inclusive, and ecologically mindful. Virtually everything we use -foils to plastics, even your chopped hair- is reprocessed, and all our Kevin Murphy products are sulphate, paraben, and cruelty-free, contained within packing that’s either recyclable or biodegradable.

Our mission is to listen to you and ensure you leave Minimal Waves feeling thoroughly pampered with a fabulous treatment that won’t cost you or the planet a fortune
