Misha is a nice woman, but she is not a trained hairdresser.
She wore rubber gloves for the entire hour and as a result kept dropping the comb and clips on the floor. As she was washing my hair, the sink became clogged and she had to use a plunger with one hand whilst holding my hair up with the other. Several times she exclaimed: 'cutting hair is hard'. Halfway through the haircut she asked me if I thought each side was an even length, which was a slight concern.
During the blow-dry she caught my hair in the hair-dryer and burnt a chunk off. Halfway through the blow-dry another woman came in, Misha handed over the hair-dryer and wordlessly disappeared into another room, never to return. The other mystery woman finished drying my hair in silence and I walked out, bemused, onto the streets of Dalston wondering what I just paid £32 for.
Surprisingly, after all that, the haircut wasn't actually terrible.
