I booked a pregnancy massage - and when I arrived was asked whether I had permission from my doctor. I said no, I didn't think it was necessary and asked what the risks were and the masseuse said "I don't know I'm not educated about this". I thought that was odd for somewhere that advertises itself as being a specialist in pregnancy massage.
