The staff at Mottram Hall were lovely and everything was very relaxing. The treatment was good however I was a little disappointed with the lunch that was included as previously when I have been to spa days in this hotel you have been given the option to order something from the bar menu, rather than helping yourself to buffet food covered with flies that had been sat there since the first lunch sitting an hour prior to ours and we also got to eat in the amazing conservatory in the hotel at lunchtime too. It was a birthday treat from a friend and luckily she hadn't been to a spa day there before so she had no comparison whereas for me it has now fallen from the best spa ever to have a spa day at to an ok option for the future. I'm not sure if this is just the spa day set up they do for Treatwell customers or is now the standard spa day across the board?
Friendly reception staff, very clean changing areas, pool was a nice temp. Overall a nice small quiet spa but would've liked more facilities, as a couple spending 2 hours here was virtually impossible!
Not as amazing as the description online but still lovely.
I had a great visit, loved the set up, the steam rooms with the views were especially different and loved the traditional wooden sauna. Also enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi. Loved the treatment, I had the back, face and head massage, heaven! The lunch buffet was just right too. Only comment I could make is that more towels would have been appreciated. I will recommend though and have done so on trip advisor. Excellent value.
