Fantastic facilities much better that competitors in the area. Afternoon tea was average, too much cream themed cakes a better variety would have been nicer.
I went for a Double up Day Spa with my daughter. Overall the experience was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The outdoor rooms were new (since I was last ther) and unusual. We loved the huge picture windows in the saunas and the hot tub.The facilities indoors have all been upgraded ; they were spotlessly clean and in good condition. I was sorry that there was nowhere to get a drink other than a water cooler or a choice of water or Lucozade from a vending machine a good walk from the pool once you were settled. It would have been helpful to know so that we could have taken our own water with us. Lunch was good. Again it would have helped if we had known what to expect. I found from my note from Treatwell that we had been booked for afternoon tea at 1.30 , though we had not been asked our preferences at all. The staff were very good and when I explained in good time, that we would rather have lunch at 12.30 it was duly arranged. However, once again, it was only because they explained what was in the lunch that we even knew what to expect. It is a set menu, so it would be helpful if that was stated on the information on the website and also that there is a veggie option (humous rather than pate). I have no complaint at all about the food, just lack of information beforehand. No hot drink is provided though it can be ordered and paid for at the time. Treatments were very good, no complaints at all. Lovely surroundings; the quiet rest room was an especially relaxing space. One comment; whilst having a facial I was very aware of lots of talking downstairs. I suspect it was the staff around the desk.....not their fault as it is right at the bottom of the stairs below the room which I was in......not them being especially loud, just unfortunate positioning of the desk. The staff were all extremely pleasant, helpful and cheerful.
Overall we had a really lovely day. The points I have made are to show where it may be improved, rather than a criticism.
Fantastic spa day with my mum for her birthday. Excellent massage/facial, brilliant facilities and lovely warm cosy "relax" room. And the afternoon tea was delicious! Only criticism was that we were not offered a drink on arrival and only had tiny paper cones for water in the pool area, it would have been good to have access to more water throughout the day. Otherwise, perfect!
Poor contact-never answer the phone
No reminders of time and date of spa
Afternoon tea was average
Treatment itself was ok not the best massage I've had
