The experience was supposed to include haircut and treatment. The treatment was hair conditioning which they used after washing my hair... As if in a decent salon someone would wash your hair without hair conditioning... My hairdresser was OK, but not more than that. He dominated with his opinion not listening to what I really wanted. I has an OK haircut at the end but it was worth 20 Pounds, not more, would never go there for a full price.
I had a Friday afternoon appointment where it was quit quiet but the atmosphere began to pick-up later. They had a nice self service waiting area with internet connected laptops, a Smeg fridge stocked with water, wine, juice and a little sofa next to some magazine and tea making facilities. A nice comfy touch I thought. I was however not impressed to have what seemed like the most junior of junior trainees do my first ever Keratin blow-dry. I was just not comfortable with her, she didn't even rinse the shampoo from the back of my head, and was not confident enough for a treatment that takes 3 hours and entailed ironing chemicals into my hair. She really looked and seemed about 17. Not what I'd expect from such a high profile salon. But ultimately, what made me feel really mislead, and letdown was the treatment results. My hair felt soft and smooth for a few days, but eventually it did nothing a take away frizz or straiten my hair as promised. It was formaldehyde free treatments so maybe this gave different results but my therapist gave me know explanation of this. I felt this was a waste of time and money. I wouldn’t go back for that treatment, and I’d beware of buying deals from here for fear of getting inexperienced therapists.
The experience and service was grand. They have awesome laptops and free drinks to amuse customers while they wait.. My only issue was they didn't check my voucher, assumed it was a 50% voucher when it was, in fact, one that I had purchased through Wahanda for a cut, treatment and blowdry. So they forgot to do the treatment and tried to charge me LESS again at the end. So I didn't save that much, sadly. Still a great salon with great people, just make sure you kow exactly what you want and paid for!
going to the Lisa Sheppard Salon was a fabulous experience! The salon is lovely and modern (including a small bar, snacks and Macs to catch up on your mail!). I went to have the keratin brazillian blowdry which I have had done in the past elsewhere - the service was brilliant and the treatment was done to precission. My hair is still frizz free! I would definately be going back.
What a fabulously glamorous salon! The receptionist was relaxed and very welcoming, making me feel at ease instantly. I was seen to almost straight away. Having sliced highlights by Jason who was quick and efficient. He talked through what he was doing and why and really made me feel comfortable that he was doing what would suit me. Loved the chill out area, full of a huge selection of drinks (inc vino!), variety of mags and internet usage. Very pleased with the results and walked out feeling a million dollars :)
