the staff where great, very polite, helpful & friendly. The treatment was pretty good, I have very bleached hair do it hasn't lasted as long as it has on some of my friends, but I'm still very happy with the whole experience.
This is a very pleasant salon which is situated very conveniently to the West end, ideal for hitting the shops and being wined and dined after having your hair done. All customers are able to help themselves to free wine, hot and cold drinks and there are laptops available for free internet use in the relaxation area. On my first visit I was a bit hesitant about helping myself to a drink and noted that the offer did include a glass of wine so my only small grumble would be that it would have been nice if member of staff had offered me a drink when I sat down to begin my treatment. Since my brazilian blowdry I have been back for another promotional offer for highlights and a cut which I am very happy with. Absolutely loved the massage chairs whilst having your hair washed and waiting for treatments to take, have never experienced this before at a hairdressers, a very nice touch I thought!
Had a formaldahyde-free brazilian blow dry. My hairdresser/therapist, Alice, was very nice and took the time to explain the entire process and tips to make the blow dry last. Other reviewers have commented on the break-out area which is well-equipped with computers, magazines and food and snacks galore, so I won't comment here but it's nice to have that little touch especially as there are long periods where you have to let the product sit/absorb. I was also watching the other therapists either side of me interact with their own customers and I think they were very chatty and professional, and the customers looked and said they were pleased with their hair colours. As for the treatment itself, it's meant to last for 3mths and I have naturally wavy hair. Having washed it after the 3 day period after first getting the treatment done, my hair is not super straight (not the look I'm after) but my "waves" are now softer and more manageable. The real test is when I head to Hong Kong later this week to see how it stands up against the 80% humidity! (the reason why I decided to do the blow dry treatment) If there's an opportunity to update this review on my return, you shall be hearing from me! Overall I enjoyed the experience and would consider going back.
Really friendly salon and staff. great brazilian blowdry that has lasted well and i especially liked the chill out area where you relax with treatments on your hair / colour taking with a glass of wine. i've booked again already for hilights! definitely recommend
This salaon is fantastic! I've been to a lot of hair salons in London and Lisa Shepherd is my new favourite. Its a lovely salon - with friendly, unpretentious staff. From the moment you enter reception is most welcoming The waiting area is complete with computer usage, snacks and complimentary wines. I had the Brazillian/Keratin blow dry and the stylist was skilled, explained the process and was very thorough - 2:30 hours for my long hair, and the results were amazing! The wahanda deal was excellent value for money and the salon now send me regular texts for discount services. With or without a Wahanda voucher - I would highly recommend this salon. What a gem:)
