I booked my appointment a few months in advance as I am going to a posh wedding. I thought getting a professional hair cut in a Top London Salon would be a treat with a voucher as I could not normally afford the full price. The staff are lovely people that is probably why I did not complain at the time. The colourist described my hair as bland allover colour and said he would put in some contrast...it looks just like the same allover colour I went in with. I spoke to the stylist and was confident that he would style my hair to what would suit me and told him I would like to keep the length but happy for him to style it differently. I don't think he actually cut all my hair as I have still got uneven broken hair sticking out where it looks like it needs a good cut. He just trimmed off the end and gave me some sort of horrendous fringe that is neither full, side or blunt. After the blowdry my hair was still damp and I could not believe it when he went to get the mirror to show me the back and said it was finished. Needless to say first thing tomorrow I am going to my regular hairdresser to admit defeat and hope she can do something with it before the wedding. Very very disappointed but you get what you pay for and I won't be fooled again I just wonder what kind of haircuts the people who pay full price get. The best thing was the massage the young girl gave whilst shampooing. I am surprised Linda Shepherd has her name to this.
Booked my appointment for 11am so the salon was very quiet - only one other customer at the time. I have long straight hair so not a particular challenge on the hairdressing front, but nonetheless it was a quick, but good quality cut. The conditioning treatment wasn't a major part of the deal as it was applied just as normal conditioner and wasn't left on very long - afterwards I didn't notice it was in any better condition than previously. Although this isn't individual to Lisa Shepherd as I've paid an extra £10 for the same sort of thing elsewhere and was also disappointed then. I think home conditioning treatments are more effective personally. Good, but very brief head massage when the conditioning treatment was put on - I love it so would have liked a bit longer! Enjoyed a glass of rose and they were in no rush for me to finish it so invited me to sit in the reading area. Coffee, tea, biscuits and fruit were provided if wanted. At just £23 was good value.
I had an enjoyable time at Lisa Shepherd. My appointment was on time, I had a good hair cut and the staff were warm and friendly. The hair cut was definately good value for money!
Can't rate this yet as despite having paid for a cut, highlights, and treatment over 2 weeks ago, I still have yet to receive an appointment from them. I have emailed, I have called just to be told they are too busy and someone will come back to me. When..who knows? Not impresed so far.
This is a really modern salon close to many tube stations. Staff are friendly and the hair cut was good. I would return and also tell people from my office about it as we are situated very near by.
