I visited this salon in the morning and it was very quiet, only me and one other client. The chap who cut my hair was competent but not inspiring, I imagine he was a junior. He cut my hair very fast and I was in and out within 40 mins. I was invited to help myself to anything in the fridge, so if I had wanted my free wine that was available. Was not offered a deep conditioned treatment as stated in the voucher. Not disastrous but a very average place for a hair cut.
When i first arrived I expected to be rushed and the place to be very busy due to the fact that i'd purchased a voucher. It was quite busy but the staff were very accomodating and the whole experience was enjoyable. Once i'd got used to the laid back feel of the place (you can help yourself to drinks be it alcoholic or coffee from the machine!!) and the chill out area with internet access, i really enjoyed myself. Both the colourist and haridresser who cut my hair, spent time to consult to see what i wanted doing and then recapped before starting. This reassured me. The only down side was when the person washing my hair went to get the colourist to look over my hair when i was at the washbasin as i was a bit worried that something had gone wrong. It hadn;t!! Apart from this, my hair was exactly how i wanted it, and i even stayed after my hair was done to use the internet and have a glass of wine. Customer service top notch. Do not hesitate to come here, and i'll be coming back for my next hairdo.....as long as the price is right.
A rather disappointing experience, having read previous, glowing, reviews. The venue itself is not bad, if rather compact, but I was expecting a great cut and finish but I ended up receiving a tiny trim (hardly worth the bother) and I especially didn't like the way my hair had been blow dried - it looked flat and limp when I left. After I styled it myself at home, my hair looks fine but more or less exactly the same as before (needless to say, nobody else noticed any difference). If I'd paid the full price I would have been seriously annoyed.
I was made to feel welcome from the moment i arrived. As i was early i was shown to the sitting aera, stacked with goodies (eat and drink), magazines and even WI-FI was available. Louis who did my hair was very friendly and knowlegdeable, it is now 2 weeks later and i love my hair. This is not my first Keratin treatment but one of the best!
I'm adding to an already amazing catalogue of reviews - just shows how brilliant this salon is! I had left my roots to grow for far too long and an impending holiday meant that I HAD to get them sorted out quick sharpish. I had some Wahanda gift vouchers to spend so booked a colour and cut at Lisa Shepherd and really enjoyed my experience. When I arrived I was shown to the waiting area and told I could help myself to refreshments and snacks. Let me tell you - that yellow SMEG fridge is the stuff dreams are made of! I had a quick consultation with Jamie, my stylist, and he applied the colour whilst asking questions about my usual styling routine. Once the colour was done, I sat back in the waiting area with a cup of coffee and a magazine. Whilst the dye was being washed off, the lovely girl who was doing it offered some great advice on looking after bleached hair and which moisturising masks to use - plus a tip about silver conditioners - stuff I found really beneficial. The cut was brilliant. I had previously had an asymmetrical cut with a thick fringe, but wanted to grow out those layers and start again with a classic cut that I could later whip into something different. Jamie did a brilliant job and transformed my wonky mop into a lovely choppy bob and sweeping fringe. My head felt loads lighter and the colour was perfect - I felt like the old me again! I'll never leave it as long to get my roots done again (I'm sure I've said this before) and I'll definitely be popping into Lisa Shepherd again.
