I am only writing this review as I was genuinely shocked by the service, haircut and the attitude of the hairdresser. The thing is with these kind of things you always feel like you can't complain, cos at the end of the day you have paid a lot less than you would normally pay and let's face it, the stylists doesn't really want you there cos as a result of the deal they have to do a lot more work and I am guessing not being paid more for it. But what upset me about it is that at the end of the day, what is the salon doing it for? I am guessing to get more customers, for more people to find out about them and for people to have a good experience and come back. So where do I start, I had to wait a good 20 minutes to get my hair washed....they were very busy...you know!!! I was not given my hair treatment????!! I was not offered a glass of wine? I don't care, but it was part of the deal I bought, so I am entitled to it, so WTF?...and then to really get things started off well, the hairstylist said to me..."oh dear, we really need to get your hair style out of the nineties?!!" Now, I am the first one to admit that my hair isn't all hip and stylish, but its how I like it, so I don't appreciate someone making me feel crap about it before they have even started. To be honest, I also wouldn't be sitting here writing it, if at the end of the haircut, I felt like she had brought me up to date or to be honest did anything different to my hair. I told her that I was open to anything she thought would suit my face, and do what she wanted (without losing too much of the length). So what did I get? with NO EXAGGERATION what so ever....She cut 1cm off the bottom of my hair all around, and then cut about 3cm of the front of my hair to give me a long fringe. That was it. She didn't style my hair, give it any body, NOTHING. She then COVERED my hair with what she called "magic dust", which I would call horrible sticky disgusted goo, and then said there you go...its finished. I walked out of the salon feeling like I had gone back to the 1960's, not brought into the 21st century as she had practically given me a bee hive. I wish I had complained at the time, but to be honest, I just couldn't be bothered. One thing I do know, is obviously I am not going back and I won't be recommending it any time soon. But then I shouldn't really be annoyed...cos you get what you pay for - and that is exactly what I got at this place. Reena, thank you very much for bringing me out of the nineties. I feel so much better now with my new haircut.
This salon looks amazing and I was really looking forward to my appointment. Unfortunately when I arrived I wasn't even acknowledged by the 2 girls chatting at the desk and just stood around like a lemon for a bit waiting for them to finish chatting. My stylist seemed like a nice guy but was a bit unfriendly at first and I was in and out of the salon in about 40 mins. My mobdeal included a conditioning treatment but I don't think I actually got that and it wasn't referred to. Overall I was a bit disappointed with the experience and felt like they were rushing me out the door. I tried another salon for my colour (again with a deal) and had a really good experience there so I'll be going back there in future and giving Lisa Shepherd a miss.
Bought a Wahanda voucher for Cut, blow dry and conditioning treatment. It was excellent!!! Great value and the stylist was brilliant!! Waiting area has different refreshments available (hot drinks, soft drinks, juice, wine) and you can use salon's laptop while waiting treatment. Would love to go back again. Well worth a visit especially on as part of a deal.
Really lovely staff, extremely friendly and very helpful. The salon was pleasant and very modern. I would definitely go again and would recommend it to others. All in all - excellent value!
Although I had to wait two months before my appointment, it was really great. As soon as my stylist, Tom, saw my hair, he could recognise the problems I have and give advice on the best haircut for me. He also gave me some good practical advice I now follow. All the staff were very friendly, the saloon is situated in the centre and the interior design is very good too. I would highly recommend this hairsaloon.
