My overall experience was a very pleasant one. I was welcomed from the minute I arrived to the minute I left, and treated no differently even though I got the treatment for a third of the price through Groupon. Jamie listened to exactly what I wanted and I was very pleased when I left and my hair still looks fabulous. I would recommend the salon and the treatment.
I was keen to try the Keratin Blow Dry and the Mob Deal Offer was a good opportunity to do so. I am a regular client at Lisa Shepherd in Birmingham so was hopeful that the London Salon would be the same great experience. I was not disappointed, the waiting area included complimentary drinks and newspapers, computer and even phone charging points. The stylist was really friendly and the results of the keratin blow dry were really good. i highly recommend Lisa Shepherd.
One of my better hairdressing experiences. I'd read about the salon when it first opened- for their cutting edge interior. The design was a delight. I liked the casualness of it- no stuffiness of staff and I didn't feel like I was treated any different from a full paying customer (as I have felt with some other group offers). The nice scottish girl who did my hair listened to what I wanted, washed very nicely (with a massage) and cut and styled well. Its more than a month now for my short hair do and it actually looks better than when it was first cut- very rare for short hair.
Would I go back? Would certainly like to but would have a problem paying full price mainly because I'm a stay at home mum at present. Provided that retention of staff is good, I would pay full price to get the same person again once I start working.
i bought a Wahanda mob deal as a present for my mum and i wasn't sure what to expect. From the outside it was really trendy and eye catching, and as soon as we came in we were greeted and the coats put on hangers, we went to the waiting area, which in my opinion so comfortable i could wait there for as long as they wanted, a lady came over and showed us the fridge for any cold drinks or the coffee machine or just water. Before we had time to settle down for a drink (it wasn't even 5 minutes) when they called my mum, and the hair stylist that we had was a guy called Tom, greatly recommend very friendly and has good communication and listening skills, to hear and understand what style my mum wanted. when it came to washing my mums hair it was the highlight of her day, the chairs had a built in back massager which just lets you relax while you have your hair treated and washed. The overall look and style of her hair was great and gave my mum a boost in confidence, the best thing is they used great hair products and best of all they didn't once make you feel as if you had to purchase their products, over all i rate this place a 10/10 and definitely will be visiting again.
and if you are thinking of going you won't regret it and i like i said i recommend Tom.
the only regret was my mum was to shy to help herself for a glass of wine but over all 10/10
I was very excited about going to Lisa Sheperd having read wonders about how they do highlights, how they take into consideration your skin tone, etc. Well, the truth is that not only they didn't have in consideration my complexion or skin tone but the stylist didn't give me any suggestions. I gave him complete freedom and all what he did was to ask me what i wanted and proceed accordingly. I was expecting some input and received none. Not only this but the products they use leave your hair smelling of chemicals. The horrible smell -like bleach- didn't go until I washed my hair. I've been having highlights for over 10 years and my hair has never been so badly treated. All the work and money that had spent previously in keeping it nourish evaporated in 30 minuts thanks to them! Now my hair is really dry and full of split ends. The experience in the washing chair was also a nightmare instead of relaxing as it was meant to be. The big guy who washed my hair keep pulling it hardly while weat which really hurt my scalp. His massage was more like a torture. I am surprised he couldn't tell by the faces I was making that he was hurting me. Overall the experience wasn't good. Over priced and they damage your hair. i will go back to my old hairdresser who at least uses Aveda products that don't damage my hair. By the way, the receptionist didn't offer a single drink neither walked me to the waiting room. And the apple laptops? who gets excited about them when nowadays everybody has internet connection in their mobile phones. Would I go again? NO! Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
