I was a little disappointed with my experience here. I have quite frizzy hair and most hairdressers have trouble with it. The person who did my hair did a reasonably decent job blowdrying it but he then ran through straighteners all the way through it which left it looking very flat and lifeless. I had explained beforehand that I didnt want this poker straight look so left feeling dissatisfied.
I really enjoyed my visit to Lisa Shepherd salon. There were plenty of magazines and different drinks available while waiting for your appointment. My therapist was very nice and profesional. I especially enjoyed the massaging chair while my hair was being washed.
Not easy to book plus told me the price of the voucher if a gift this wouldd not have been good. Told as only a voucher could squeeze me in, told I was early on arrival then kept waiting beyond my appointment time, conditioning treatment was just some conditioner not a treatment, hairdresser did a great trim though but only took 20 minutes from start to finish so did feel like I was getting a lunch time quick trim not a condition and cut as advertised. Shame as would be somewhere I would have considered again at full price!
Not sure what to expect, I was really pleasantly surprised with the salon. The staff were really friendly, there was a good atmosphere and the chill out area is a great idea - complete with laptops to catch up with that urgent email or 2! The coffee is really good!! Tom did my hair and I felt that even though I was using a voucher, he gave me his usual level of customer service. He asked what colours I wanted but I asked for his suggestions and went with them, he seemed genuinely interested in me and kept calling me by my name which many hairdressers don't! Lucy gave me a great head massage and the chairs at the sinks are proper massaging chairs, not the usual vibrating ones! I loved my experience at the salon and will definitely be going back.
Lovely salon, great staff and cool ambience. My hair looked incredibly sleek when I walked out but sadly it all went after the first wash. I would definitely have the treatment again if I had formal occasions coming up. It was good value for money all in, when you consider the cost of having your hair washed & dried in London. I would also consider going back to the salon for other treatments.
