Lisa Shepherd is a very open and welcoming hairdresser. The hair salon treats her clients as jewels. I was there in June for a haircut with an appointment on time (and with Text-confirmation on my phone). Only when I came to the hair salon, they told me that I had to wait 15 minutes because there was a problem with the booking through the system. It wasn't a big deal for me that I had to wait because I had the time for it. Although the staff did everything to make myself comfortable. The haircut itself was great. The staff is very friendly and professional. They know what they're doing with your hair, you won't regret it !
Nice venue with waiting area where you could help yourself to drinks (including wine). Good haircut and friendly stylist. Would not pay £65 but decent vaue at half price. Easy to get to from Oxford Circus.
I went to Lisa Shepard on the pretence it was a hair colour specialist. I went in with grown out highlights and wanted to dye my hair a honey blonde with some blonde highlights to lift it. Something Ive had before. My hair colourist was a nice girl, I had already has a consultation so I was confident everything would be fine. After 3 hours by hair colour was done, and I was handed over to a sylist for my cut. The cut was quite rushed ( he had another client waiting ) my blow dry was good, but it hid the awful cut of my grown out fringe, which now looks like 2 dog ears hanging down, the worst cut Ive had, my family and friends have even noticed how bad the cut was. More over the colour, I found inside the salon it was quite dark and I couldnt see the colour clearly. Once I was home, my hair was definately tinged red, something iIdefinately didnt ask for, I understand what honey is, this was ginger especially under a bright light or daylight. I arranged for to have my hair re done a few days later, although the colourist and manager didnt really want to. To end a long story the outcome was even worse, my hair looked redder and the the highlights yellow, it was so upset, the colourist seemed embarrased , especially as I didnt keep my feelings to myself. The manager did say I could come back again ( for the 3rd time ) but I really couldnt face it again. I was also going on my 2 week holiday a few days later, hence the hair colour and cut, I wished I never stepped foot in there! I paid over £130 for the pleasure. This salon is very overated, I think the vouchers bring the customers in but never again for me.
I used the '50% off hair cut with a stylist' deal The salon is very easy to get to and find. The receptionist (Lorna, I think) was extremely efficient and friendly. Tom cut my hair and was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and I am so pleased with my hair cut. He offered really useful advice throughout my appointment. It was refreshing to go somewhere where the staff really think about fashion, trends and what would suit your face and are realistic about what can be achieved. I can't rate it highly enough and have booked in for a colour next week.
A great great salon. Reena was just charming and really listened, and I loved the result, and three weeks on it's still one of the best cuts I've had in years. Highly recommended!!
