Not the easiest salon to find but once you do you'll realise it is a hidden gem. Not only to you get to choose from a variety of hot drinks but also a few alcoholic ones if thats to your taste. The massage chairs are a brilliant idea and the scalp massage was an nice bonus. The haircut felt a little rushed but the end result was nice. Would come here again if another Wahanda mob deal was on.
Great salon, friendly staff and lovely facilities. I was really pleased with my highlights and conditioning treatment - the colour is just what I was after and the treatment has left my hair feeling lovely! Really enjoyed the chill out area with the drinks, papers and mac laptops, was a real treat!!
Surprisingly good waiting area facilities (laptops available as well as just the usual stack of magazines). Friendly staff throughout and the hairdresser I saw gave some good advice on the way my hair should be cut and styled. Excellent value for money.
The salon decor and facilities are great..you can help yourself to an array of drinks, go on their laptops and even charge your phone...so I expected great things and thought I'd found a real gem of a place..well sadly I was wrong. It started with a 20min wait as the stylist was running late, that was fine, I was happy to have a drink and relax... it seemed all the stylist were running late though, some kept people waiting for 30mins, not very organised was my first impression. The stylist Reena was nice enough but totally oblivious to the fact that she said she preferred cutting to colouring whilst colouring my hair! Not a great start....and it got worse. Whilst putting the highlights in she flicked a spec of bleach in my eye! I felt the deal was misleading too...you got 10 highlights and a gloss colour, but actually it was a toner they put on after the highlights and not a semi-permanant gloss colour that I'd had in previous salons. So my visions of glossy hair were just that..visions! We agreed on subtle highlights, just a shade lighter than what I was to get a sun kissed look in the under section of my hair. The result was bright blonde streaks in large clumps that were left on too long and ended up being anything but subtle!. When I said this she said the toner just hadn't been left on long enough..what total rubbish..its was almost peroxide blonde! She admitted that it was a 'bit' brighter than we had agreed and said I could come back to have some darker sections put back into my hair..to be honest I would not trust this place with my hair again so have decided to go elsewhere to sort the mess out. But not once did she say sorry I may add..she couldn't have cared less, it seems the saying is true 'you get what you pay for' and I was definately made to feel that because I wasn't paying the usual cost I shouldn't expect too much. The whole point of these deals are to entice people back in again and get new clients...in reality I have told everyone I know of my bad experience at Lisa Shepherd. The thing is if I'd been given a stylist who actually enjoyed hair colouring and had done a great job I wouldn't think twice about paying full price to go back again! I certainly wouldn't make this mistake again and advise people to think twice before buying cheap hair colouring deals..its a false economy!!!!
This is a really lovely salon. I went on a weeknight evening afterwork - it wasn't too crowded and all the staff were extremely helpful. I loved the "chill out" area where you can have a glass of wine and surf the net while you're waiting for your colour to develop - so much nicer than just sitting in your seat. My colourist was brilliant, really listened to what I wanted and the result was exactly what I'd hoped it would be. The best bit for me was the massage chairs that give you a back rub as you're getting your hair washed. Bliss!
