Having bought the Lisa Shepherd mob deal a few weeks ago I popped into the hairdressers after work yesterday to have a cut and blow dry. I was shown to a seating area with a big glass topped table, offered a complimentary glass of wine and water and told to help myself to the magazines or browse the internet on their mac, which was a nice touch.
I had a brief consultation and then my hair was washed and a treatment applied, in the comfiest 'hair-washing' chairs I've sat in - complete with leg rests and mechanical massage, so effectively I was lying down. Again a nice touch after a long day at work!
My stylist was great. He did exactly as I asked, chopped some length off, gave me a sweeping fringe and cut out the weight. He offered good advice and finished my 'do' off with some lovely twisted curls, which I hadn't thought to do before. I was in and out, in under an hour which is unheard of normally, with my unruly mop.
The decor was fairly minimalist and colourful, the music was chilled and the staff friendly. Overall it was a really good experience and I'm glad I've discovered Lisa Shepherd, as I'd definitely consider going back.
The whole experience was a blast. As soon as I arrived (15 mins early), I was offered a seat and was told to help myself with the drinks. My hairdresser was with me within 2 minutes and I was ushered to one of the seats for a brief consultation. She advised me on the best do for my face shape, while still keeping my demands in mind. All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Oh, and the massage chairs you get to sit on while they wash your hair is awesome!
Brilliant hairdressers. Had a great new style created that I now wonder why I didn't have done years ago. The stylists are all quite young but listen to what you want and then add their twist to it, to give you an amazing new look! The actual salon is very new and chic with free cold drinks and coffee. Also newspapers and magazines to read whilst you wait. Loved the massaging chair you sit in when you get your hair washed! Overall, my haircut at Lisa's was exemplary and a lovely experience. I will definately be going back. In fact I'll be having my haircut again in August!!
Great value for such a hip-salon. Really nice service. The only problem was that it was difficult to get the appointment - had to go for 9am Saturday. Otherwise, I'm one happy customer.
The salon is innovatively designed with lots of cool touches, including really comfortable yet stylish seats for both washing and cutting. The staff are super friendly and clearly well trained. I had one of the best head massages ever during my hair wash and treatment, and my stylist, Jason, really listened to exactly what I wanted and created the perfect style. Even more impressive as I was a bit nervous about having a fringe cut in. It might be a bit quieter at the moment but I'm sure it will be buzzing in no time. Definitely worth a visit and incredibly good value with the offer.
