The worst salon experience I’ve ever had in over a decade of faithful salon-going. Here’s why:
1. Having never visited Manchester before, I had trouble finding the venue. It would be helpful if the location description included which store it is near. I tried calling the salon; no one picked up, so I wandered around the bowels of the Arndale until stumbling upon the salon.
2. While described as a pedicure, the service is actually just a colour change, which the technician admitted when I asked to not have a full pedicure since I didn’t want to spend much time in the mall kiosk salon. When I thought I would be getting a great deal for a full pedicure, then, I got an OK deal for a mediocre colour change. I would have gone elsewhere had I known this.
3. Trouble with the card machine / my card made it necessary for me to go to the cash machine (again, no idea where anything in the mall is). I left my jacket with house keys as collateral. Apparently the technician did not think this was appropriate. Instead of saying this, however, he physically grabbed me as I tried to exit the salon. Another man who worked there then came over and asked what happened; while he admitted to wrongdoing in the part of the technician, he also chastised me for having cursed when I was grabbed by the male technician, who, by the way, was laughing at this point. It was all quite disturbing. I left the mall in tears and with a shoddy colour change. I would avoid this place if you possibly can!
