Fun place to visit.
I had gel soak removal - without any soak. It was an older lady with really long, bejewelled nails who just used an electronic ‘sander’. Probably because acetone would affect her nails or something or it takes longer.
Just using the sander, she took it to my actual nail. Which was painful and not the right procedure. When I asked her about it, she said that she’s not touching the nail and that it’s clear nail varnish underneath. Lie.
I’ve come away with all of my real nails sanded down with a rough surface and weakened. She didn’t use a soak because she sanded it all. Really unhappy.
It was my first time getting my nails done, so I thought I booked that place after a friend’s recommendation. The girl who took care of me spoke very poor English so she did not understand what I wanted. I feel like the process really damaged my nail and I didn’t come out of it with what I wanted. Also, for the pedicure she didn’t even push my cuticules so now I have an asymmetrical gel on my toes. Even though I tried to make sure she understood, I just felt shut down. Won’t be returning and won’t recommend.
Ignore the reviews about ill fitting acrylics and runny gel - I booked this last minute after work and was a bit worried after reading them, especially as it’s just a stand in the middle of the Arndale. But the staff were lovely, there was enough privacy for it to be relaxing, they took their time and made sure my nails were exactly what I wanted :) great experience and the best extensions and gel polish I’ve ever had - my nails feel so strong and I think they’ll last until they grow out. Thank you xx
