Sadly, I was very disappointed with my first visit to Nail'd It. Booked a Classic Mani/Pedi. The nail technician was over 20mins late to arrive for my appt so the treatments were then done simultaneously. The whole thing felt rushed and as a consequence, one of my cuticles sustained a deep cut when being trimmed. It was cleaned and a plaster was applied but I didn't feel particularly comfortable after that. When finished, I left the chair and went to different area to use dryer, looking at my nails in different light revealed that they were not filed in to a proper shape. Literally none of them were straight, they were all diagonal to varying degrees. I showed the technician, who removed the varnish and filed them again but I ended up having to adjust myself as still were not straight. During this time, another member of staff was stood behind me and they were talking over me, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. The second paint job was tidier but due to rushing ended up drying with bubbled effect to some nails. Considering I left with a bright pink plaster on my finger and was in the salon for over 2hrs, I was not offered a discount or a proper apology (I don't feel I should have had to ask for either). My overall experience was not relaxing or enjoyable and I have had treatments done to a better standard. Disappointing.
This place is nicely set up and the two girls are lovely. I was however disappointed with the quality of the shellac, after 3 days it was starting to peel off my nails. I luckily had booked in for a pedicure the following week so whilst I was there I kindly asked the girl if she could fix it since it hadn't even been a week and it was starting to peel off - which has never happened to me before. She kindly re-applied the shellac to the two nails following my shellac pedicure. Yet literally two days after, the shellac on one of the same fingers started to peel off AGAIN. then the days following this it started to peel off from other nails. I am so surprised as this has never happened before and I do not do manual work. I even wash up using rubber gloves. Perhaps the shellac isn't left to dry for long enough? or the shellac brand I used isn't a good one. Who knows but I unfortunately won't be going back here again.
