My first every acrylic nails and I trust this salon because of how careful they are with shellac. It was the day before Brighton Pride so there was a wait despite booking. I was really impressed with how thorough the treatment was, so much attention to detail and they explained everything step by step. The results were gorgeous! Start to finish was over two hours in the end but I was really pleased.
Super fast and good value, exactly what I wanted. Friendly place too :)
Friendly staff :)
Lovely staff, a good overall result, but very very slow. 2.5 hours for a removal and new set of acrylics and then an extra charge for paying with PayPal
Really really bad. Woman who did my nails did not speak English at all. I am entirely aware a lot of people who work in spas/nail shops often don’t have English as their first language and that is absolutely fine- the issue was there was huge miscommunication because of it. When she pushed my cuticles down/prepped them I bled and am left with cuts on the skin on every nails. Whilst using the UV lamps, they burnt me so much I couldn’t even hold my hand under there at all. I have a high pain tolerance but it was so painful due to her technique and layering so much of the prepping/primer stuff on beforehand. I was told to pick a colour (she gestured at a wall with them up) after saying ‘shellac or varnish?’ I asked the difference and she didn’t know what I was saying. I asked if I could have more than one colour and she shook her head until another worker interjected and said yes and said pick up to 10. I picked 5 (one for each nail per hand) and she rolled her eyes and snatched them out of my hand; there was a lot of eye rolling and huffing and puffing. When she painted them she got up and walked out of the store for 25 minutes. I didn’t know whether to stay or whether to wait for them to dry or what. She came back and said ‘yes’ after looking at my nails and walked off. I’m really happy with how they look, but it was so weird and uncomfortable, and painful
