It was actually a skin consultation for laser hair removal I went to, not spray tanning. Found the waiting area a bit dingy and the receptionist rather rude. She was much more interested in her personal phone calls than in any of the customers, handing me paperwork while talking on the phone. They were also running behind schedule which had me doubting whether this was going to be a good experience.
I have to say though that Kelly, the therapist was lovely. Explained laser treatment exceptionally well, seemed very experienced, was great to chat to and made me feel completely comfortable. The machinery looked modern and although small the treatment rooms were well equipped and the salon is located really conveniently near bond street tube, and right next to a starbucks on wigmore street.
lympahtic drainage massage was really nice and relaxing, would recommend if getting the offer to have an hour treatment rather than two half hour appointments. The massage is through a machine that uses air pressure so you are left to read magazines
I was expecting an actual massge, but you actually get into a suit which has air which flows in and out and stimulates the lymphatic drainage points. It was relaxing but I did not notice any difference after the treatment. It has been about 7 years since I last had a lymphatic drainage massage but I still remember I could definitely feel the difference, I actually fely quite ill from the release of toxins.
I underwent an arasys inch loss treatment, this is an 18 minute treatment using electric currents to help tone 3-4 areas of the body, The treatment is not comfortable but the therapist tailors it to your tolerance level. The wahanda deal is only for one treatment but 10+ are advised two days apart to achieve results. The therapist was very helpful and answered all my questions regarding the treatment, To achieve results takes a lot of commitment and would probably not have the time to committ to this, however the salon and facilities were faultless, and would certainly go back for further treatments
Today I went to have IPL laser permanent hair removal (there's no such option in the Wahanda drop down list but they offer it). Please note that you have bought the Mobdeal for IPL it is not yet available in Knightsbridge I am told, but it will soon.
The Mobdeal was excellent value for 3 sessions. The treatment itself is not painful and is over in 30 mins (depending on the area).
My therapist Amy was so knowledgeable and I really enjoyed talking to her, she ensured she answered all my questions.
The venue is just OK, small and a bit crammed, but there's some nice touches like if you use a sunbed and buy your lotion you can keep your lotion there and put your name on it.
The only minus point is that I had to wait 20 mins and the consultation form was all tip-exed as they didn't have enough time to prepare for the surge in demand. It seems head office didn't communicate the offer on time to the Wigmore Street branch so there were many more clients than usual to get through the day.
