I have been a regular customer at Nara's for about 2 years and frequently have a Hollywood wax. Usually I am very happy with my treatment, however this time I was disappointed that end result was not perfect as I have come to expect from Nara's. Unfortunately I did not mention this at the salon as I didn't realise quite the extent until I got home.
I will still return to Nara's for future treatments as we all have an off day from time to time and usually they are so good.
The salon is always clean inside, and the staff on the reception desk are welcoming. I would prefer a therapist who makes a little small talk throughout the treatment, but that is just personal preference.
I had booked a treatment online. As soon as I entered, I was informed that they recommended a course of at least 10 sessions, and the half face treatment would be enough, and I should have the 1 hr full treatment as well at 75 pounds, instead of the 30 min 30 pound taster that I wanted. I was told then to have a treatment, that I can't have due to my medical history, which they never checked. Tina, the therapist kept trying a hard sell of 2 concurrent packages costing well over a grand! She did this by stressing that my skin was sagging and loose and ageing. If I wasn't a confident person, she would have knocked it! She was unprofessional, and also used inferior products that felt awful on my skin that wasn't the brand of facial advertised.
My manicurist was not the friendliest person I've ever met! If anything it seemed like she didn't want to be there at all which made for an awkward hour. She questioned whether it was important to me that each hand matches, ie she had done the nails on each hand differently and didn't want to correct it. Of course they should look the same shouldn't they? Nara is a lovely salon and having been there previously for a manicure I was excited but this experience wasn't great. Please hire staff with some social skills.
Went for a £22 manicure. I have nothing to say about the quality of work, my nails are perfect and the girl at front desk was lovely. I just regret that for a £22 manicure you don't have any hand cream at the end or any massage and that the girl who made the manicure (dont know her name and once again even if her work was ok) was so cold and unfriendly ...
