I booked a Saturday root touch up for my medium golden-ash blonde hair and the stylist lifted too much color out of my hair leaving it almost white. She kept assuring me that it looked fine, but the difference between the ends of my hair and the top half of my head was at least 3 shades. She then said that blonde is the hardest color to match (excuse #1) and that my roots looked much darker than the color actually was (excuse #2). I don't expect my stylist to be perfect, but if you make a mistake (she admitted she lifted too much color) then don't make excuses, just solve the problem. She applied a toner (too light) which lifted more color out and the top half is now 2 shades lighter yellow-orange with sections of white. I chatted via SMS with the salon owner about my displeasure after my partner confirmed that the results didn't look right and she gladly offered to do a darker toner when I was available. I asked for an appointment for Thursday evening on Monday morning and she responded when she was back in the salon she'd confirm. It is now Thursday and I've texted and called with no response. At this point, I'm going to go to Sally, buy some toner and developer, and fix it myself because it doesn't seem like I could possibly make my yellow and white head worse. The saddest part is that I really liked the salon and my stylist, but if I'm going to pay for a professional service, I expect professional results.
