New Cross Hair and Beauty is great value for money. The hot wax used was the the least painful I've experienced so far, and it was completed very quickly and effectively. The salon isn't a fancy place, but you get great service for a small price.

Great to find a local salon with professional and polite staff. Tatyana did shellac nails for me. She took lots of time over the process and also gave me many tips and advice on how to look after my nails and the best products. I was also offered coffee or tea on arrival - great!

Lovely haircut with a very friendly stylist. Really good tips on concerns over hair thinning. Will definitely be going back.
Just discovered the real gem! Walked in and was told that they do SNS nails. I had it done in America, absolutely loved it but could not find it in London. For those of you who didn't try it yet: your nails are covered by gel and you dip your nail into powder, takes 2-4 coats and about an hour. Lasts forever (salon's advise up to 3 weeks). You can have it as natural set, french or color. Feels like natural nail but stronger, no odor, no UV lights. And they ask only £30 for natural set. I payed $70 more than a year ago in States. Wish I knew about the place before Xmas. I was looking at the hair done by the stylists and decided to book myself in next week. I think the lady is called Agnes, she is a real joy to watch
Really friendly and skilled stylist. I wasn't sure what would work, so too her advice and happy with the results. Will be going again
