This booking left me very angry. I go regularly for a bikini wax, which is actually very good there. Therefore it felt natural to pick them to do my nails for my wedding. I booked a French manicure the morning before my wedding. I reconfirmed the appointment 2 days before. I also saw them the day before for my wax as usual and they said they'd see me tomorrow for the manicure. They were aware it was for my wedding. When I arrived the girl I normally see explained it was actually the boss doing my nails, and she was running late. She called her up, then came back to me and asked if I could return in 6 hours! Obviously I could not with so many other things to do that day. I offered to come back in one hour but that was apparently not ok either. I was given absolutely no explanation as to why she hadn't turned up, and no offer of a discount or any compensation. They had ample opportunity to phone and cancel or re-arrange beforehand. It felt to me like the boss just couldn't be bothered to come in. The girl who was there was very nice - she was apologetic and embarrassed. She explained that she can't do French manicures, so my options were to either let her have a go and not do a great job, try to find somewhere else last minute, or have just regular polish in a flat colour. I felt I had no choice but to go with a flat colour. She did a nice job and there was nothing wrong with it. But it wasn't what I wanted or had booked. When they knew it was for my wedding, I think this is appalling.
Nikee was friendly, efficient and did a great job of my full leg wax. Her salon is at the back of Fitness First - a clean, cosy and perfect hide away for a pampering session. She was thorough, used hot wax and even had a great anti bac tea tree lotion for after that has meant no rash or red bumps like I normally get. Very professional and made me feel at ease immediately. Will definitely be returning.
