I was apprehensive about this offer having read some of the negative reviews about the staff and treatments, particularly the hot wax treatment, but it was worth a gamble on the more positive ones and being local I decided to give the salon a try.
Unfortunately, I have to say that those negative reviews are pretty much spot on. I barely ever leave reviews myself but feel compelled to on this occasion.
Not only did I not receive a hot wax treatment, as others had mentioned, despite it being advertised as so and my pointing out that I'd booked that specifically, I also received a barbaric wax of poor effort and care, and the amount of hair that was missed was joke, I gave up after the fourth attempt at pointing out missed areas.
I was also fed the poppycock that the normal wax was better, and particularly for me because I had hair that grew in different directions - never heard such toffee in all my life! I've had hot wax hair removal treatments for years, as long as they've been available and I've never had a problem.before.
More worryingly, two days later and I have more painful lumps on my bikini line than I think I've ever had collectively, so much so that I'm now concerned about the hygiene of this place and the cleanliness of the wax that was used.
My recommendation to anyone considering this place for their half price hot wax deal is spend a little more and go somewhere else, really.

I had a good experience in South Beach. I got a Hollywood waxing and then my nails filed and painted. Both were quick and at a high standard. The only downside is the staff, one of the ladies wasn't friendly at all and seems not to be happy with her job, she was a little rude and wouldn't engage in a conversation even though when I asked her about additional treatments or prices. On the plus side, there was a lovely polish girl who was happy to have a brief conversation, offered me a lovely cup of peppermint tea and even took some time to show me the colours / adviced what was good for my nails. I ended up not only having what I had bought through treatwell but also having an additional treatment since she honestly cared and took the time to listen to me / what I wanted. If the manager of South Beach is reading this, please let her know she was great on sat and you should reward people who make customers feel at home :)

The offer said it was for hot wax this isn't hot wax, she gave me a strip wax and said 'hot wax gives in-grown hairs' (which isn't true). The overall experience was fine but booked for hot wax so was expecting that.
