If you’re after a grand salon experience then go elsewhere, this is no frills but a thoughtful cut.
Only real gripe - the head massage at the sink was so short and a little odd... hairdresser put a towel over my hair before massaging!

Overall I was fairly disappointed by my experience at No42. The hair cut wasn’t terrible by any stretch but I made a point to emphasize that I only want the absolute minimum taken off. I ended up with at least 2 inches off my hair. My hair stylist barely spoke to me and didn’t even ask me what my name was when I entered the hair salon. I’m not expecting fireworks, and frankly I hate it when hair stylists try and become your best friend. We literally sat in complete silence the entire time. The other hairstylists didn’t even acknowledge my existence when I arrived and left so overall just really weak customer service. The overall facility also isn’t particularly nice. It’s very basic and not that clean. The robe you are given to protect your clothes is basically made of sandpaper which I found shocking considering the prices. As I said, the hair cut wasn’t terrible, but I definitely won’t be going back. I’m just glad I got a discount on treatwell because I would have been even more frustrated if I had spent £70 on that sub-par experience. It was anything but a treat.
