My beautician began the treatment 30 minutes late despite asking me to show up 30 minutes early. The room was dark and dingy and I wasnât offered a towel or thong beforehandâjust told to take my pants off. The beautician told me my hair didnât look long enough for a wax, despite my following the Treatwell recommendation to wait 1-2 weeks between shaving. She tried hot wax first and then used the strip wax on the same patch of skin over and over again! It was torture. Since she was the âexpertâ I trusted she knew what she was doing but eventually told her to stop as it was too painful. She explained the hair was too short and wouldnât be able to do moreâafter balding and scalding me. No aloe or soothing cream was offered; she told me to use Vaseline for the soreness. I was charged ÂŁ5 instead of the full ÂŁ45 for the âtreatmentâ that scarred me. The next 3 days I was sore and the patch of skin began to peel. Awful, awful experience.
