Booked two 45 minute massages for me and my Sister in the morning for 3.15pm as treatwell was showing availability throughout the whole day.
Soon after booking we received a call from the salon saying that the only time available was 5pm, my Sister was only over for the weekend and we had plans that evening so we said we'd have to cancel. The salon said there is no cancellation because it was paid for through treatwell, but after talking more they said they would try to rearrange someone else''s appointment so we could go earlier.
We got a call back saying we could now do 3pm which we were pleased with but all was not over yet!
After a nice welcome we sat down in the pleasant waiting area having some herbal tea then were taken to a double treatment room, which was nicely lit and gentle music playing. I started to enjoy the massage but just a few minutes a drilling started nearby in the building which lasted throughout the rest of the massage, not relaxing at all. I thought about complaining there and then during treatment but I didn't want to cause any more fuss as I didn't think the salon would be able to do anything about it anyway as it was likely from a flat above or the shop next door. But after a while I asked for the music turned up even then it was still annoying so I ended up putting my fingers into my ears!
When we left the room and went back to reception there was a note saying they were aware of the drilling and we're trying to do something about it, I was hoping the person on reception would apologise and offer a discount fie next time but they didn't try to talk to us or ask how the massage went. If they'd offered me a discount for another time I'd have considered giving it another go but won't now.
