They had a very very small selection of colours, basically only one shade of each main colour. There was also no samples of nail colours so I could see how the colour looked painted. This really disappointed me as I couldn’t really see a colour I loved. Afterwards, the lady told me that some of the gel polishes are expired, and that they had a lady complain as her nails ‘fell off’ after 3 days. The lady then told me that this may happen to me (!!) and that they could only know once a customer complains about the polish. I was shocked.. I had paid for a treatment that they were not prepared to give. The lady was nice, but I didn’t feel welcomed and comfortable. The nails have turned out OK.. but there where lots of issues and I left feeling as if ‘this will do, lets see if it stays on?!’
This salon was horrendous. I booked in for an OPI manicure, when I arrived, not only was the door locked (which is weird), they did not have a selection of OPI nail varnishes available and hardly had any nail varnishes in fact! The beauty therapist didn't even seem to know what she was doing which instantly made me feel concerned. She tried using polish which was clumpy and thick, and tried to ensure me it was fine and I told her it wasn't, got her to take it off and left without letting her finish the treatment. Appalling.
I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I get my nails done every 3 weeks and couldn’t make my regular salon so found this one on Treatwell. It was genuinely the worst shellac file and polish I’ve ever had. The equipment used was tatty and there was such a poor selection of colours. Using the word ‘file’ would be scrimping on what actually happened. My nails were barely filed and they weren’t tidied up. No base coat was used as the technician claimed it would make the shellac last longer but a huge chip on one of the nails happened in 48 hours...so much for ‘lasts longer’. My other shellac normally lasts 2.5 weeks so 48 hours is ridiculous. In terms of the actual nail painting, it’s uneven and so much was on the nail around my skin. I’d be interested to see copies of the nail technician qualifications gained because this is not the standard I’d expect to pay for. I would be interested to know if there is a refund claim policy.
I had a very odd experience at this salon - rude staff, dirty facilities and terrible customer service that included the hairdressers having a 5-minute argument with each other in front of me. Firstly the woman doing my hair was late and the other women in the salon were quite rude on my arrival, I was the first customer in the salon and they clearly weren't prepared. Secondly when the woman doing my hair arrived, all the women had a huge argument in front of me - calling each other names, arguing over what time one of them was meant to come into work - the woman who was meant to be doing my hair didn't say hello to me, ask me what service I was there for or apologise for being late. My hair was then washed in a dirty bowl. They then started arguing over how to cut and style my hair, at which point I got up and left, I really didn't feel comfortable letting someone cut my hair in when it didn't feel like they knew what they were doing. When I tried to leave they wouldn't unlock the front door and let me out, and started to shout at me. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. A hostile environment, an incompetent hairdresser and terrible customer service.
Staff were nice and manicure was good. Downside was that it began to peel and chip after only a few days
