I find the door being locked every time I go to the salon a real put off. Treatment was fine but a member of staff sat behind me watching tv over my head whilst drinking tea and eating lunch slightly odd

The most bizarre experience I've ever had at a hairdressers.
The whole thing would probably take me hours to write up but basically the staff member was unsure from the beginning, at one point assured me she was qualified (I didn't ask) and generally made me nervous. We got through a hair wash and after much faffing and to-ing and fro-ing she informed me she couldn't cut my hair (and that I couldn't say 'trim', I had to say 'cut') because there were layers in it and as she didn't put the layers in, she couldn't cut to them now (never been a problem before). By the time she made the first very timid small cut I was so stressed and nervous I said let's forget the whole thing and just do a nice blow dry. She didn't ask me how I'd like the blow dry done, she just carried on with soaking wet hair so it took 40 mins, used no products and ended up frizzy and not polished at all.
Not to mention the closed sign was up and the door was locked, the CBBC channel was on the whole time, I didn't get my coat taken, not offered a drink, not show my hair and the end (probably for the best), I could go on and on.
The upside of this was that I didn't pay anything, just wasted an hour and fifteen. Needless to say, will not return.

A really strange experience- they didn’t seem to be expecting me and I’m fairly sure the masseuse was not the person I was meant to see as the massage was very strange she didn’t seem to know what she was doing.
Great value local salon with very good treatments. My therapist Sona was excellent- very efficient and the treatment was not too painful and very quick. Was offered tea which came with some biscuits- nice touch! Will definitively be back.
