Really wanted to love this place as it’s convenient and local, but had a bad first experience. My appointment was cancelled 20 minutes before I arrived because the beauty therapist hadn’t showed up. They did reschedule an appointment for me an hour later but only when I called back. The replacement therapist was friendly, but unprepared when I arrived and lacking in confidence when doing my wax. It took a long time and was quite painful by the end. The treatment room was cluttered with products and had nowhere to hang clothes. I did leave feedback via the salon feedback form, but as I booked through Treatwell I wanted to leave it here too. Also, they don’t accept card so if you choose the ‘pay at salon’ option, make sure you’ve got cash. A ‘cash only’ note on Treatwell would have be helpful. Sorry Nunhead Holistic H&B Parlour, not a good experience all round.
Very clean and tidy, the ladies in the store were very nice and welcoming, someone’s birthday in store and was offered cake. Was a nice touch. Would highly recommend
The staff are lovely, there was a bit of confusion at first because I booked last minute and it didn't show on the system, the lady who does massages had already left as it was quite late but the manager did my massage. They have this gorgeous massage oil and the lady listened to what I wanted and gave a good massage. I even got a cup of tea :)
Despite my appointment being an hour after their opening times.. the sign on the door said “Closed” which made me feel a little anxious to walk in. Once I entered, I was welcomed. Going into the room, there was nowhere for my clothes to be hung and which the therapist seemed surprised. Then, as she tried to push my bed up because she is tall, it wasn’t working and again, she was surprised. As I filled out my feedback form after my session (11:30am) the sign on the door was still set as “closed”. I even saw a lady looking at the place, perhaps if it said “Opened” she may have felt a little welcomed and come in to check it out.
