I got a full had of highlights - which took around 2 hours all together (including the rough dry at the end), and I love how my hair turned out! I explained to the stylist exactly what I wanted and he listened carefully and reassured me that he'd get the colour just right, and he did! He was very thorough and attentive when putting the foils in and he applied the toner really well and kept on massaging it into my hair until he got the colour looking exactly as I wanted it. He also asked me throughout whether I was ok and whether I liked the colour and was happy with the treatment. The atmosphere was quite buzzy and friendly and the decor is funky and fun! It's not as relaxing and serene as some salons can be, but it was fine for me and I still managed to doze off while the stylist put my foils in! So, I'd definitely recommend Gusto to anyone wanting a colour treatment.
It was a very good experience; staff was professional, attentive, and gave me good advice. Haircut met my expectations. Will probably visit the salon again!
AVOID! I booked for highlights but ended up with dyed brown hair that looked terrible in the daylight. I asked to have it corrected but when they did it looked even worse. I opted to have my hair all cut off rather than walk around with what looked like a teenage attempt to bleach my own hair with a Nice and Easy. I now have a patchy ginger skinhead! The initial hairdresser talked a lot about 'natural look', 'tones', 'texture' , blending' etc but didn't listen to what I actual wanted and ended up giving me a bad dye job instead of highlights.
