I went for highlights but at the end you cannot see them. It all looks of the same colour. Now I need to go somewhere else to fix that..Yes, I saved money but i'm not satisfied.
I am always nervous about visiting the hairdressers as one look at my hair - and the hairdresser would frown, the reason being that I have very thick hair which is difficult to cut right and takes a while to deal with. Gusto staff did not make it easy for me to ease in at all - my hairdresser was late and didn't even apologise and didn't introduce himself, instead he just said "what do you want?" So I told him what I wanted nicely, and then he started having a go at me saying that he won't do what I want because it wouldn't suit me! He said it horribly and loud (the client next to me and her hairdresser paused to listen and they must have felt so bad for me). My hairdresser then went on to saying rudely "where did you get your hair cut last?" whilst shaking his head! Omg, by this time I was furious but had to bite my tongue, if I hadn't paid for it already through Wanhanda - I would have got up and walked out. In the end I agreed to let the hairdresser do what he thought 'suited' me. After having my hair wetted (not washed which was what I paid for as part of the package) - he told me to sit still and don't move (like a parent would speak to a kid). After sitting through awkward silence for an hour, I was relieved that it was finally over. Only then, the hairdresser started being nice because he most probably wanted a tip! The salon itself is tiny and there was hardly space near the doorway to make a quick escape, what's more is that another hairdresser thought it was wise to put his dying gear right by the entrance / exit - as though it wasn't tight enough there already. As I got to the till which is by the door, the receptionist demanded for my voucher (I thought give me a chance). Although my haircut itself weren't bad, I still wouldn't go back there, only to be treated by some snot that thinks his too good to cut my hair (or may be he just didn't want to do an early appointment - then you are in the wrong trade Mr). After this experience and the experience with my hair dye which were both booked through Wahanda and both were bad experiences, I will now think twice about booking any more deals. Wahanda - you really do have to look into who you do business with if you want repeat business.
Was pleasantly surprised. Hair looks great, I was worried considering how cheap it was. My hairdresser took his time to ensure all was perfect. Will definitely return.
Well intentioned staff but my stylist was late, and I had bought a treatment with 'conditioning treatment' when it was just a conditioner left in my hair for a minute. The cut was fine but cut haphazardly into my fringe when I said I wanted to leave it. The customer service could have been better and was generally a bit sloppy.
