They saw me almost straight away and were really attentive, asking me what i wanting and showing me progress along the way. I was very happy with the service!
My manicure was of a really terrible standard - I'm a bit disappointed in Wahanda for not vetting these 'salons' more carefully. This was a barber and a tattoo shop as well as a 'salon' so as soon as I entered I was standing in a pile of hair which has just come off a customers head - very nice! The bowl of water for soaking cuticles was cold, the filing made absolutely no difference so I was left with uneven, jagged nails, and the 'therapist' poked at my cuticles without actually doing them so this was a really bad start. The therapist then applied gel base coat very messily leaving big lumps and gaps (I didn't realise this at the time) even though I had stated that I didn't want any gel, and then used nail polish on top, which of course could not set properly over the bumpy gel base. 45 minutes had passed by the time I'd gotten a single coat of polish glooped on, at which point I had to give up and leave because it should have been a 30 minute treatment and I was on my lunch break. I had to stop and buy nail polish remover on my way back to work to remove the mess that was on my fingers. I have had manicures in 20 minutes to a far higher standard than this mess. What's worse is I am now stuck with the sloppy gel base coat on my nails which I will have to pay someone else to remove - why she did this I will never understand I am completely baffled. It's really put me off Wahanda for quick lunch break treatments altogether.
