Tony and the other stylist were great. Very nice salon, nice talks with Tony and good advices from him for my hair. Good products sold there. Lovely location. Perfect for an hair cut and a good restaurant afterwards with the Thames view!
Unfortunately my visit didn't start well when they had me noted down for an appointment an hour before my actual booking, so when I turned up there was no-one available to do my hair. They kind of acknowledged what happened, but in a shuffling around sort of way. They found two people who could do my hair but if I hadn't already paid I would have left. Because of the lack of time there wasn't time for a decent consultation - i knew what i had in mind but didn't feel at ease in the salon taking time to explain so i went with their suggestion of keeping it straightforward (I had one colour (bleach) highlights and a straight trim around the bottom of my bob. with hindsight I should have not stayed, but I know I can't blame them for me keeping it safe. I didn't get a treatment on my hair - not sure if this is the time issue again or not. The salon was clean, the colour/cut well priced but i'm sure I didn't get the best experience as I was rushed and fitted in between other clients. generally it was 'fine' - but having 2 of the 3 stylists in there colouring their own hair while clients were in the salon wasn't the most professional set up. Will I go again? probably not.
I had a great hair cut with Toni, the salon is open late (until 9pm) which works well for me.
Worst blow-dry I've ever had. Although the girl was very nice, she completely ignored what i'd asked for (a natural blow dry with a bit of a wave) and I looked like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards- Even though I said a few times through the process that it didn't appear she was doing what I'd asked for, she ignored me and the result was a mess - I looked like I'd had a bad perm (but worse!) I have this style quite a lot and I've never had anyone mess it up, until now - The style director did try to rectify it (the next girl waiting looked like she was about to walk out when she saw my hair) but said he didn't have time to re-do it so I had to go home, wash and re-blow dry my hair myself (and was subsequently late for the party!)
I visited Oolong for first time and I rated 5 stars because the experience and the service was great. I had highlights by Maria and she did them perfect as I wanted. The staff is nice and the ambience too. I will come back for sure.
