I turned up and was told that I would not be getting the 'full head of highlights' which I had paid for (£75) but instead they would be dispersed throughout my hair because it would 'look better'. I know that my hair is thick and that I had previously dyed it and so would need toner, but I had paid for the highlights and that is what I was expecting/hoping for. I did go along with what the hairdresser was saying though, I didn't feel as though I could argue with him. The haircut took about 5 or 6 minutes, it was just a trim but I felt as though it was very rushed. The offer of orange juice was nice, as was the popcorn, the lady washing my hair was very patient. I don't know whether I would do a voucher again as the I felt as though I was rushed through the appointment. I didn't get what I wanted, getting your haircut is so expensive, and I didn't feel that great after it.
Stage Door is a salon that strives to make your hair treatment a relaxing and really pleasant experience. I walked in the door and was offered cold juices, water etc - which on a hot day was really needed. All the staff were really friendly. I then met my hairdresser, Martina, who was amazing. She spent a lot of time consulting me about my hair (which needed a lot of TLC to be honest). She put three colours through my hair and spent ages getting beautiful fine highlights. She is chatty and fun throughout. I was offered a glass of wine - what a great way to start a weekend!! and then got a great cut. I had a really stressful week but Martina and the staff at Stage Door more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend it. My hair looks 100% better and I have enjoyed finding an honest and talented hairdresser too.
I was looking for a new hairdresser and I think I have now found one. Alex is a great hairdresser and really did a fab job on my colour. Will definitely be going back!!
This was great value for money - £50 for Half a head of highlights and a cut and blow dry. Alex was great fun and has a really bubbly personality - we chatted throughout. He was a bit slap-dash with his technique, some of the highlights were a bit too thick. However what I really liked was that he was happy to fix what I wasn't happy with - he applied a bit of extra colour on a streak that was too blond for me - which took a bit of extra time but he made sure I left happy. So I would say that you should try this salon, the offers are great VFM, and Alex is really fun - just be clear with what you want.
I a minute or so late but was kept waiting another ten or fifteens minutes before heading into the treatment room. Slightly irksome as was my lunch hour but hey ho. The therapist was absolutely lovely and the wax itself was a dream, virtually painless. She is excellent at her job - I kept waiting for the pain to kick in and basically it never did! She was very professional and I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole way through. With the voucher amazing value and I'll visit again anyway to see this therapist for waxing.
