I booked in for a man manicure - usually just a mani with no polish. Anyway when I turned up the receptionist seemed angry I had booked it and told me I couldn’t have it and tried to upsell me to a full mani. I said I don’t want a full mani- what is the man mani anyway? Isn’t it just a mani no polish? The receptionist said no. I said oh ok what is it? And she refused to tell me! Eventually a manager had to step in and let me have what I was asking for at the price they had advertised. Then I got downstairs and the manicurist was really pleasant and did a good job - although I note the promised hand scrub was missing. Probably wouldn’t bother going back unless they changed their FOH staff.
