I came in for a blow dry. I wanted soft waves, which other hairdressers have always achieved with just a blow dryer. Michaela said she was going to blow dry my hair and then use a curling iron, which I was fine with since I assumed she knew best. Midway through, I could see that the curls were tighter than I wanted them to be, and I pointed this out to her. She said not to worry as she would loosen them up when she finished. The end look was much curlier and “done” than I wanted, so I asked her to comb it out some. She did so, but very grudgingly, and at the end she commented to me that next time I should just ask for a blow dry with soft waves — which is exactly what I had asked for in the first place. My hair ended up being fine (not exactly what I wanted, but not terrible), but I didn’t particularly enjoy the experience.
First haircut in 3 years - from experience some hairdressers struggle with long curly hair like mine. She was incredible - will definitely go back soon
