The Pasha hotel was a surprisingly relaxing little sanctuary in the middle of a busy Camberwell. Wasn't sure what to expect but had a lovely experience in the Turkish bath. The therapists were very professional. It would have been nice to have somewhere a bit more private to get dressed afterwards though.
Went with the girlies, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the exfoliation treatment. Would definately recommend and we intend to go there again. Location is far from ideal/pleasant but Pasha is a hidden treasure! Restaurant was disappointing, advised we had to wait over an hour for our food, which was an entirley different menu to which was advertised on their website. Manager apoligised profusley but we had to cancel and eat elsewhere. Overall we were all very pleased :)
My second visit (and third to the restaurant), love the place. The only frustration was the on-line booking procedure which was inadequate. Managed to book over the phone, which was much easier in the end. Loved the bag of goodies with the black soap, mud, scrubbing mit, massage soap bar and pumice stone, There were four of us including a child. Would suggest the little jars were plastic rather than glass, as the child accidentally broke one of the jars, and broken glass was an issue, especially on slippery floors. Oh, do wear flip flops or washable sandals. Overall, I'll keep going back, especially when there are Wahanda discounts!
Upon arrival at Pasha the staff were very friendly and efficient and provided Turkish Tea while we waited to go into the Hammam. Initally when you walk in the venue seems rather odd as people are staying in the affiliated hotel and also walking through to go to the restaurant (which seemed to be very popular)! The Hammam itself was great fun for a group of 4. You get your own body scrub, body oil/soup and mud mask and you have a full hour and a half within the Hammam which is lovely and relaxing! Areas for improvement are that there isn't a loo in the Hammam or changing area so make sure you go before! Also, it was quite dark (and very hot) in the changing area, although the ambiance was very in keeping with the Hammam!
Please dont be put off by previous reviews. Yes location is undesirable.. But as you walk through the doors yoy literally walk into turkey! Lovely chill out reception area with free flowing turkish tea- lovely staff. Room clean, wirh flat screen tv and freeview/sky,mini bar, lovely bathroom with rainshower! Traditional turkish hamman lovely - went in a group of four - plenty of room, post hamman fresh fruit wqs provided with more tea and water. Dinner was amazing - set menu or plenty of choice...dinner at ar table or on the floor stools. Simple cooked breakfast. Would definately go again.. Overall stay was amazing value for money!
