I didn't have very high expectations (mostly due to the hotel’s pictures on the website), but I thought it was going to be a nice experience nonetheless. The Turkish Bath is basically just a hot biggish room. It’s a relaxing experience, but do not expect anything luxurious. The stuff is very friendly and always smiling, which is nice. They provide slippers, towels and toiletries. You have to pay more for the special mud. I would recommend it if you want an inexpensive Turkish Bath, but if you expect something luxurious, you’d be disappointed.
when we found the hotel it didn't look amazing from outside it was between shops. Inside the venue was nice we didn't expect it to be so big inside. We liked the fact we were in the hammam in our group only. This was however not a treatment but a self service. We also were not offered our tea or refreshments as stated on the voucher. We were late to our appointment however we could have been offered our tea after so that was disappointing.
We arrived at Pasha & as I understood it I had bought a deal from Wahanda for a Turkish Hamam with a face mask that we were to self apply. I was also offered an hour massage over the phone by a man when I first booked for £20.00 each. I said no but later re-considered and called to book the massage too for myself and my new husband whos birthday it was that day. When we arrived and went in I was very annoyed to find out that we had only paid through wahanda for a mask whilst just sat in a Turkish Hamam. Being Turkish and having been to hamams in Turkey, Northern Cyprus & Egypt it has always been standard practice that you have the soap & scrub that you wash yourself with whether they apply or whether you do it yourself. This is what I believed I had payed for. On top of that they told us if we wanted them to scrub us they would charge £15 each for 15 minute scrub and that the massage would actually cost £25.00 for 30 minutes as opposed to £20.00 for 60 minutes which I had booked!! So something I thought would cost us £60.00 for us to both have A self applied soap bath, facial mask and 1 hour massage would now cost £100.00 for a soap scrub, mask and half hour massage. The frustrating part was we had driven half hour there to a place that completely gave us the wrong information. Instead of them apologising and taking us in maybe cheaper seeing as there receptionist (whos English wasn't great at all) gave me the wrong information they gave us our money back there and then and were willing to lose our business all together. Will never visit Pasha again. They ruined the relaxing day I had planned for my husbands first birthday as a married couple. Cheers!
Had a really relaxing time, great service, facilities and would definitely visit again. Excellent value for money, went with my girlfriend after the usual busy london week. It was the perfect way to de-stress and calm ourselves ready for the weekend. Recommend the hammam mask session for two to anyone who just needs a little break for very little cost.
The Turkish Bath itself is a real GEM. Don't be put off by the location. The traditional Ottoman style Turkish bath is to die for, a perfect temperature and clean. You will feel like you're in another place altogether! We bought the 2 for 1 self-service deal, so did not receive any treatment from staff. At time of purchase we were advised to book our visit online. We did this with ease and received confirmation of the booking via email. I followed up with a few questions regarding our visit and they promptly responded, and positively. A day in advance I received another email requiring of me to click a link to confirm my booking, which I did. So you can imagine I was very surprised to receive a phone call later that day to inform me that my booking in fact was not valid, because the Turkish bath is not open in the morning. Not happy. I was offered an alternative and obliged. They say this glitch has been sorted now, so let's hope. We were received warmly and served lovely Turkish tea on the roof garden. Then we were shown to the Turkish bath and left to our own devices. Now this is where I a felt a little cheated. You read on their website about black soap, a good scrub and a mud mask. In my email query I asked whether I should bring anything and I was told no all will be provided. But I had to insist on the black soap, a loofah and the mask one by one - after walking back to reception wrapped in my kelim. It would have been nicer if they just provided these things generously and showed first-timers what to do and to allow them to have fun! Because it sure was fun! The self-service deal was a really good one - once we had all our goodies - inspiring us to have a giggle and enjoy a bit of closeness in a really beautiful place. After your hamam experience, ask to be shown to the hidden restaurant! There is an EXCELLENT value for money buffet!!! Really worth a visit, very special. I hope they become more generous with the self-service thing. I bet the treatments are amazing.
