1st experience here. I had a great day the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and my hair has never looked so good, had a blonde balyage and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be going back there from now on.
Paul was great, will be back
Unfortunately, I never got the chance to visit the salon. My daughter bought me a xmas gift of a any 3 spa treatment offer from Living Social for the salon. When I called, i basically was told that I had to take manicure or pedicure, facial and neck, back and shoulder massage, I wasn't given a choice of what I wanted. I called to make an appointent, which I got, unfortunately I caught a sickness bug so called on the morning of the appointment to say that I couldn't make it, so made another appointment for the following week. On the day of the appointment I got called out to work, so had to call the salon to let them know and rearrange. I was told that I couldn't make another appointment as the voucher was out of date by that time. All I was told was it was the terms and conditions. I think this is bad business, they didn't even come or go with me. The money was already paid. It would not have put them out to make another appointment for me as a goodwill gesture. So my Xmas present was lost. So Paul Allan Hair and Beauty, you have just lost a NEW client, as I probably would have used your salon again if service was good, and potentially friends. I won't go near the salon now.

The staff took lots of time to make sure they styled my hair exactly the way I wanted it and that I was happy with the result, even offering to try out several different looks to see which one I liked best.
I would say that visiting the salon seemed to be, for me at least a series of unfortunate events. I was offered an "introductory price" which seemed higher than the groupon price that I phone up to initially enquire about (if still running). The cut seemed a little excessive but I was told that my hair required a fair bit taken off, and the colour unfortunately washed away within 2 washes and I was left with banding, due to me using box colours and lighter roots again (the 2 problems that I needed rectified). I phoned and explained and was asked to travel in to allow the hairdresser to take a look. Upon inspection I was informed that I should have used shampoo for coloured hair rather than the Simple shampoo which I had used as this had "stripped" the colour away and the problem was entirely mine. Using a particular shampoo was never suggested and even so, 2 washes, really??? she said that the only resolution was to redo the colour at a cost of £60 and when I said that I would be paying twice across a week, she simply nodded. Inferior after service, inferior customer service sadly.
