Oh dear ladies, I've had a really bad experience in this salon. Sorry for the essay but I feel all should know. I usually visit a salon closer to my office for a Brazilian wax but I thought I would try out a new salon as I saw some great deals on this site. Big mistake. Initially I tried to book online, I didn't hear back so I followed it up with a call the next day, unknown to them that I was the same enquirer. I should have really have noticed what the customer service was like when my email was never responded to two days later. I arrived at the salon, which was surprisingly empty for a lunch time period and was seemingly, professionally attended to immediately and taken down to the room for the treatment. The salon was clean and tidy, although downstairs in the basement corridor there was an unfortunate sewerage smell, it may have been as that was where the toilets were. The actual treatment room was absolutely fine and didn't smell at all. The beautician seemed nice enough but when I asked for an extra area to be done, she told me she couldn't speak great English. This is where the misunderstanding started and maybe I should have got dressed and clarified with the manager. The actual treatment was fine, although different to what I'm used to. They seem to do the minimum required and don't take as much off as my usual lady does (A Brazilian, I thought was just a strip landing) but I suppose every salon is different. As the beautician didn't speak English, I couldn't articulate this to her and wasn't really in a position to run upstairs but she was fast at least. When I went upstairs to pay, the beautician had a conversation with the manager, in their language, whilst I waited. I always think this is a little rude in front of customers. It came to light that as the booking wasn't completed through the website, I would have to pay the full salon price (an additional £13). The manager admitted she had received my email and even showed it to me on her phone but said she was too busy to respond to me. She didn't apologise for the misunderstanding and was quite defensive about the whole thing. I felt pressurised and just paid as I wanted to get out of there. When another client walked in she even raised her voice and became quite aggressive (lots of hand gestures) stating that if I wasn't happy with the price that's my problem and she apologised for the system and not responding to my email (this was all AFTER I had paid). My issue wasn't actually the price, it was being misinformed by the beautician prior to having the treatment. It took the manager 10 minutes and for a client to walk in to apologise. As you can imagine, I wasn't very happy at all with the customer service and you would think that to defuse the situation and as a goodwill gesture, the manager would have offered a discounted rate for the mix up. Pearl Hair & Beauty have definitely lost a potential new customer and I will be letting everyone I know to give it a wide berth. Ladies, I'd be wary about visiting this salon and if you do, make sure you know the exact price BEFORE the treatment is given otherwise you may well be conned.

Perfect Hollywood wax with all hair removed and shorter hairs tweezered away which some salons sometimes miss. Very pleased with it and would definitely return to this salon.
Best wax I have ever had, and i've been to a fair few places. Most painLESS and relaxing wax - hardly felt a thing. Highly recommend, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
It was a really good wax and the technician made sure to ask if the wax was at a good temp etc, but even though it was not too hot I think she might have gone over all the areas a bit too much first with hot wax then with strip wax because my skin was a bit sensitive afterwards ... but nothing terrible. Just letting you know in case you have extremely sensitive skin.
All in all it was ok and my nails looking nice but the last time I've got a manicure treatment there I was much more satisfied (different person, was more efficient), as this time the whole manicure took way too long.
