Start and end of massage weren’t very relaxing but enjoyed the middle bit

I went for a head, shoulder and back massage (although there was no head massage) The massage was painful, even after I told the masseuse it was too firm for me. Thankfully I had only booked for half an hour as I don’t think I could’ve taken much more. I felt very sore afterwards and had big bruises the next day. I notice reviews are generally good so it may be that I my back was particularly tense and knotted. Nonetheless, I feel that the therapist should have been more in tune and responsive to my reactions. For this reason, I would not recommend.
