Overall the experience was good but annoyed that they don’t have card machine so had to take cash out the closest cash machine which charges £1.99 for withdrawals. There was no warning of this in advance.
While having the shellac applied, my nails literally felt like they were burning under the UV. The therapist did warn me if it got too hot to remove my hands from the UV but I wasn’t expecting it to feel like my actual nails were burning. It was very disconcerting. I asked the therapist why it was happening and she mumbled something about the ingredients in the brand of polish (Cupio). I have had shellac many a time and never experienced that before. Was a little disappointed my cuticles weren’t soaked too and with the use of the electric tool to file around my cuticles (not a fan of those tools as the thin the nail). The overall finish is good though.
The pedicure felt like it might as well have been a file and polish. Didn’t really feel like a pedicure - I was expecting more. Again the finish was good.
However the therapist was nice and I was offered a drink by another therapist. The place is very very small but has a calming atmosphere.
Great relaxing Sunday treat! Excellent value for money with a very skilled manicurist who unlike some places I’ve been to is pleasantly quiet - a lovely mindful experience!
The decoration is beautiful, a nice relaxing environment. Nail bar at the front and sectioned off from the rest of the salon. The lady that did my nails knew what she was doing and had excellent knowledge about the services. I had no idea about the different types of nails e.g shellac, gel ect and she explained them to me while doing my nails. She had great attention to detail. I love my nails. They had a big range of beautiful colours. Would definitely go there again
