I've had a lot of Shellac manicures, but the one I got here outlasted them all: it stayed on my nails for about 4 weeks! The beautician was very friendly and professional too. The only slight hiccup was that my appointment got moved 30min earlier right after I booked it - not sure why the website gave me the option of booking that slot if it was already taken
I have to admit that it's been a couple of years since I went there but I got my first ever hot wax here and it was the most horrendous experience. The place is tiny and bare. The therapist (who I think was the owner) basically covered my entire nether region in wax, waited for it to cool and then spent half hour picking at it until it all finally came off. The pain was horrible and as it was my first time with hot wax I thought it was normal and wondered why the hell anyone ever did it. It took a friend and 6 months to coax me to get it again somewhere else where to show me what it should actually be like.
The lady who performed the underarm wax was nice, but very harsh in her technique. I put up with it as I didn't want to kick up a fuss at the time and just wanted to get it over with. I knew an hour later that there was going to be damage, and the next day I was in immense pain and sought help from another beauty salon, who told me it looked like I'd been burned. They were kind enough to give me some cream to help cool it down.
She's left me with horrible burn marks. A few days later and the burns are scabbing over, but I can at least put my arms down properly now.
I went because it's cheap, but I won't be going back.
