After talking to the therapist we decided that I would benefit from a therapeutic massage to alleviate sciatica pain. The treatment was never painful (not a case of "no pain, no gain") but I could definitely feel the work in targetted areas. The staff are wonderful, friendly and informative. The treatment room was private and relaxing. I don't hesitate to recommend Phoenix Health and Wellbeing for anyone wanting a treatment.
I had really enjoyed this massage before so i went again, however this time as mentioned previously it was shorter and not as much effort was put in.. i may reconsider before going again
Staff are absolutely caring and helpful, and what's more coming here, you are supporting the work of great charitable organizations. The deep tissue massage was calming, and relaxing and you will absolutely feel refreshed.
The venue is very strange, tucked up near the Methodist church, but don't let the surroundings put you off. £30 for a deep tissue massage was a steal and the staff were lovely. A lady called Jill gave me my massage and she was friendly and even gave me some tips on stretches to help my neck and back and explained what the problem was I was having.
However, the place was not that quiet or relaxing (not that a deep tissue massage is relaxing but in case your going for other reasons). My main gripe was that I paid for an hour massage and the massage probably lasted no longer than 35 minutes! I've had a number of massages from other places and know you normally lose 5 minutes either side but the massage finished about 20-15 minutes before my time was up and didn't start for 5-10 minutes! I would perhaps check out a 30 minute massage (if it was ever on offer) and see how long that one lasted - it might be better value for money.
