Liz was lovely, thorough consultation, understood what I wanted even with my complete lack of technical speak, made the whole appointment very comfortable and my hair looks great!
I had booked for Ombre and a cut/blowdry. I was in the hairdressers for 4 hours. The hairdresser had said it would come out more of a caramel colour than blonde and I said I was happy with that because I didn't want blonde. The dye was left on for a while so the colour could lift- the hairdresser washed it out and said it had lifted much better than she expected. She then put the toner on my hair. I was passed to another lady for my cut. When she dried my hair I was really disappointed to notice hardly any difference in my hair colour whatsoever. Holding the tips of my hair against the root there was no colour difference- having asked for ombre i expected a significant difference in colour. I asked to speak to the lady who dyed my hair but she just said it would take a few times to get ombre because my hair was dark. If this was the case this should have been explained and they should have said it was unacheivable to go ombre. Having said that I have had ombre numerous times before and it has never been a problem. I took annual leave which was wasted and feel like I paid for dye which hasn't changed my colour-noone has even noticed I have dyed it! If they had been apologetic and admitted the colour didn't go as planned/offered a refund then I wouldn't be writing this complaint
Well turned up 5 minutes before my appointment to be told that the girl who was suppose to be doing my hair was off sick and there were no other appointments available.
The girl at the desk said 'oh I tried calling you or it may have been another girl I'm not sure' clearly wasn't me then as I had no missed calls.
I then had to go across to road to boots and buy some hair dye and do it myself. I was attending a big event that night so couldn't reschedule. This is not the first time they have messed up my appointments. Let's just say I will be going somewhere else from now on.
The person on the reception desk was disinterested and offhand. The 'expert colourist' discussed what I wanted and advised me but after applying the colour never came back to check on me or to see the end result! The person who cut my hair didn't give me enough opportunity to explain what I wanted.
